Maren Eggert Ensemble

Maren Eggert was born in Hamburg and studied acting at the Otto Falckenberg Schule in Munich.
From 1998 to 2000, she worked at the Schauspielhaus Bochum under Leander Haußmann and worked with Christina Paulhofer and Jürgen Kruse, among others. From 2000 to 2009 she was a member of the ensemble at the Thalia Theatre in Hamburg. Here she worked with Michael Thalheimer, Stephan Kimmig, Martin Kušej, Nicolas Stemann and Frank Abt, among others.
Maren Eggert has appeared in various film and television roles and played police psychologist Frieda Jung in the crime series Tatort from 2002 to 2009.
In 2008, she was honoured with the Critics' Award for Die Frau am Ende der Straße. In 2021, she received the Silver Bear at the Berlinale and the German Film Award for Ich bin dein Mensch.
Maren Eggert has been a member of the ensemble at Deutsches Theater Berlin since the 2009/10 season.
