Juni ist Pride Month und deshalb gibt es einen besonderen INSIDE_-Workshop, der sich an alle richtet – ob LGBTQIA+, Allies oder einfach interessiert.

In INSIDE_lipsync geht es um eine Kunstform, die sich in der queeren Szene großer Beliebtheit erfreut und für die man kein Können mitbringen muss: das Performen zu einem Playback-Track.

Gerade Drag Performer:innen fallen in ihren Shows immer wieder durch ihre Playback-Performances auf, in denen in die Rolle einer Diva oder Lieblingssängerin geschlüpft wird und lippensynchron (daher: Lipsync) zu einem Song oder anderen Ausschnitten aus Film- und Fernsehen performed wird. Das Motto dabei ist: Be who you wanna be, live your fantasy, tell a story and have a good time! Und wer die Mini Playback-Show kennt, der/die/they weiß eh, worum es geht.

In diesem 3-stündigen Workshop wird Drag Performer:in und Geschichtenerzählerin Freya van Kant euch die Grundlagen eines guten Lipsyncs beibringen und auch ihre persönlichen Tipps und Tricks an Euch weitergeben. Es sind keinerlei Vorerfahrungen nötig.

Im Anschluss läuft übrigens eine Vorstellung von „Bunbury – ernst sein is everything“ in der Kammer, wo ihr auch Lipsync-Nummern von unserem Ensemble sehen könnt. Im Anschluss an die Vorstellung gibt es ebenfalls eine Party in der Bar, bei der ihr auch bei einem Lipsynch-Battle mitmachen und zeigen könnt, was ihr am Nachmittag gelernt habt.

It's Pride Month and that's why there's a special INSIDE__workshop aimed at everyone - whether LGBTQIA+, allies or just interested in the art form of lipsync’ing.

This INSIDE__lipsync is about an art form that is very popular in the queer scene and for which you don't need to have any former experience: Performing to a playback track.

Drag performers in particular often stand out in their shows with their playback performances, in which they slip into the role of a diva or favourite singer and lip-sync to a song or other excerpts from film and television. The motto is: Be who you wanna be, live your fantasy, tell a story and have a good time! And if you know the Mini Playback Show from the 90s, you know already what it's all about.

In this 3-hour workshop, drag performer and storyteller Freya van Kant will teach you the basics of a good lip sync and also pass on her personal tips and tricks to you. No previous experience is necessary.

Afterwards there will be a performance of Bunbury – ernst sein is everything in the Kammerspiele of Deutsches Theater, where you can also see Lipsync numbers from our ensemble. After the performance, there will also be a party in the Bar, where you can take part in a Lipsync Battle and show what you have learnt in the afternoon.
