Fröhlich's artistic practice covers a broad spectrum ranging from music, sound design and DJ sets to video art, performance and choreography. As a solo artist and in long-standing collaborations with Claudia Bossard, Fhunyue Gao and DANCE DIVINE, she works with an unorthodox style on a multimedia Gesamtkunstwerk between pop and glitch. Fröhlich aims to deconstruct binaries, beats and images and is committed to creating/preserving spaces for marginalised groups. Her alter ego JAMES deals with the representation of the female body in the age of social media, censorship and pornification, blurring the line between club, performance and feminist statement. Fröhlich moves internationally in the theatre, dance and underground club scene with a base in Brussels.
